Claus Sjoedin from Aarhus, Denmark has recently communicated with us, sending two photographs from a 2001 demonstration, at the Ledra Palace checkpoint, held by relatives of the missing. Claus, along with another photojournalist, Morten Fauerby, plans to publish a book / photo album on the Cyprus issue. The problem of the Missing will, of course, be part of it.
Exctract from Mr. Sjoedin's e-mail message:
I have been visiting your homepage www.missing-cy.org and I was thinking, that you might could use a couple of my photos from "Ledra" may 2001.
I'm a danish photojournalist and last year I was in Cyprus together with another danish photojournalist. We wanted to make a photojournalistic book about "the divided island". We haven't made the book yet, it is very hard to raise the money to do this kind of noncommercial work....
Well we hope that we some day (in the nearest future) can publish the book and we hope that we can make an exhibition in our capital Copenhagen during the Danish leadership of the EU in the coming 6 months.
